Welcome to my wedding and portrait photography website. I am Lesley Bee, a ’40 something’ mum to Maisie and Lydia Bee, and wife to ‘nagged to death’ Mr Bee!
Just a little about me:- I’m busy almost all of the time, whether that’s work or home life, but it keeps me out of trouble! My favourite place in the whole world is my big bed. I love coca cola (bad), chips (bad), chocolate (bad), Jo Malone (the best frangrances in the world), Mulberry (I wish I could afford to buy lots of their bags), my family (of course), my Cockapoo dog Ollie (he’s naughty but nice), snuggling with my girls in our very big bed, annoying my husband (constantly !!!), getting in my pyjamas way too early and hibernating during the winter months. I love spending time at our static carvan in Formby near Southport and walking on the beach with the family and of course Ollie Boy. I love the north west – it’s my home and that’s where my mum is, so it will ALWAYS be my home. My dream is that one day Maisie and Lydia Bee will be inspired by photography and carry on with the business… Watch this space…. they are already taking a healthy interest.
Photography has been a passion of mine for many years and I was often encouraged by friends and family to take it up as a profession. It was a big decision to take the leap from the corporate world but here I am today, almost 6 years later, and I must admit, I love every moment of my work… It absolutely works with my lifestyle. I love the fact that I can work around my family and that the business is Lesley Bee (and Lesley Bee only). I take pride in offering a very personal service to my clients.
I feel very honoured to be part of each and every wedding day that I photograph and I have met the most wonderful couples along the way. I am very proud that a number of my wedding clients are now my friends. I remember so vividly when my daughters were little girls, and I watched them play with their dressing up clothes, handbags, hats, jewels and hair accessories. And now as I watch them turning into young ladies… I can honestly say, I can fully understand why the mother of the bride often sheds a tear on her daughter’s wedding day… I know I will be doing the same one day. I am sure Mr Bee will too.
My portrait photography is equally important and I love photographing families and children and pets and grandparents and friends and ‘in love’ couples, and teenagers with attitude – ultimately to create images that my clients will treasure forever! I love working in the community of Hinckley and always try my best to support local business. I work with Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council and The Hinckley Bid and have photographed various events in Hinckley town centre. I am also proud to be a sponsor of Hinckley Carnival.
My style of photography is relaxed and natural, unobtrusive, with a gentle approach. I like to keep things simple and not take over. I also take pride in my relationship with each and every client. Please note, if you book me for your wedding day photography or for a portrait shoot, it will be me who you deal with from your very first consultation / enquiry, right through to handing over your wedding album or portrait images.
I can cover wedding or portrait photography across Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, the Midlands and beyond. I can also cover location and wedding photography in the North West as I spend a lot of time there.
