We took little Alfie outside to run around outside the Atkins Building, as a tag on to his studio shoot.  Alfie is only 2 so had lots of energy.  We started off in the studio but I decided it would be great to get him outside to run around.  Zoom lens in place and I left him to do what he wanted to do.  He’s wearing a lovely Jules coat – I think he could be their next model…   

This family photo shoot was great fun.  3 generations – grandparents, children and grandchildren.   I always try to add some fun to family shoots and the kids especially loved pulling silly faces.  Grandma purchased a lovely wall portrait of her whole family (don’t worry – she didn’t purchase one of these images) but they did get a laugh at the portrait viewing.    I love the action shot of little girl falling off the sofa…

I absolutely love photo parties… They are such great fun.  Giggling girls, all celebrating their friendship.  Lots of time for portraits and fun shots.  I have been doing photo parties since 2006 (the first photo party taking place in Essex).  And to date…   each and every photo party has been a complete success, with very happy parents and girls leaving the studio with their photographs.  Due to a number of enquiries I have now launched the Best Friends Photo Shoot.  Same concept, but tailored for best friends.  Loads more time for photography and a more personal photo shoot.  Please call me on 014355 233224 if you would like to book a Best Friends Photo Shoot.

Another display of fantastic work showcased at the Atkins Building Gallery here in Hinckley.  These talented artists have their work on display now and I am very tempted to treat myself.  If you wish to view this collection of beautiful work, visit the Atkins Building, Lower Bond Street, Hinckley. I have had a number of dogs in the studio for pet photography and this week I also had the pleasure of photographing ‘Misty’ the cat.  She was beautiful, very well behaved and unfazed by her debut in front of the camera.  Poppy the dog arrived in her bow tie and again, was delightful, well behaved and very photogenic.  If you would like to have your favourite pet photographed, please call me – Lesley Bee on 01455 233224 to book a studio for your dog, cat, bunny, ferret, goldfish…

Isn’t it nice to feel the warmth of Spring?  I think I have come to the end of my hibernation period now, only coming out to work and then scuttling back home and putting my pj’s on at silly o’clock!  I am very much looking forward to the lighter nights and the warm sunshine (please let us have a nice Summer this year).  I am really looking forward to our regular trips to our caravan in Formby and catching up with my ‘nearest and dearest’ family and friends.  Even the little Bees are getting revved up now, following our first visit there last weekend.  Easter is just around the corner and with this in mind, have a look at this little Easter Bunny…  photographed on location last year she’s now another year older (where did the last 12 months go?)

If you would like a photography session for your family, why not consider a location shoot at a favourite place – the woods, the local park or your garden at home.  Let your Easter Bunnies run around and have fun whilst being photographed.  I really do love my photography work, but my family life is just as important, and my girls are growing up way too fast now.  Children are not children for very long… cherish the moments and have fun!  Happy Spring Time Everyone!!!
